What are Special Benefits?
They are ex-gratia economic benefits in accordance with states and situations of need that are presented as a result of a work-related accident and occupational disease, when this voluntary contingency is covered.
They are financed through the budget approved by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security Institute and paid by the Social Welfare Fund generated by the Mutual Society.
All employees at our mutual enterprises, or self-employed workers, who have suffered a Work-related Injury or Occupational Disease and as a consequence of it are experiencing a situation of financial hardship due to lower income or special expenses not covered by Social Security.
In the event of death, the employee's/worker's dependents may apply for it.
